How can I make my naturally curly look nice?

I have thick a bit above the shoulder length naturally curly hair. I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on styling it so it looks healthy and not dry %26amp; frizzy. And what styling products are the best. Also some suggestions on how to get it cut. Pictures and How To's would be great! How can I make my naturally curly look nice?
Straighten it with a flat iron. How can I make my naturally curly look nice?
there are SOOOOOO many good professional cream products that you apply and just pull on your curls--or twist them around--as you apply the lotion, and it calms frizzies and puts your curl wherever you want it.

TA DAAAAA!
i think you shouldn't cut it so much and maybe dye it to dark red so good luck!!
Here's a great site with photos, products and tips:

Don't straighten it, people can tell you straighten it and it just makes you look cheap and insecure.

I use dove conditioner on my hair after ive hopped out of the shower, i just leave it in. dont use too much otherwise it will harden, just use a bit about 2 centiemtres round, and work it trough with your hands.

your hair should be damp still.

Also dont EVER EVER brush your hair, and only comb it with a wide tooth comb while you are washing it in the shower.

And only wash it every 3-5 days, you can wet it down or rinse it before then, but too much washing strips the excess oils, making it frizzy.

If you want to get it cut, go to a good hairdresser, and if you think its too expensive look at it this way - your hair is like an item of clothing that you wear everyday, so if you get it cut and it costs you $100, it doesnt matter cos it works out at like 75c a day or whatever.
I agree with above on not washing it a lot.

I work on ethnic hair textures a lot which most are curly....to keep curly hair healthy and looking great you should put a leave in conditioner at least a few times a week, use a shine serum that has health benefits for your hair. Defusing your hair helps a lot!!!

To keep your curls looking great, when your hair is damp, finger curl your hair (mostly the front curls) and make sure to trim your hair on a regular basis!

As far as styling goes...getting some layers added into your hair will make your curls look better, take off some weight and define your look altogether.
personally i love to put a little mousse and drops of oil as products. having curly thick hair i like to clip my hair back in a half up half down style. With straightened bangs, it looks really cute/
Curly hair can be really hard to manage but if you know what products to use and are picky about who cuts it you should be fine.

I suggest Garnier Fructis for curly hair...you can use most of their products and it'll take care of the frizz and keep your hair moisturized. (P.S the smoothing milk is amazing!)

About getting your hair cut...stick to layers. Layers just work for curly hair. It takes away alot of the bulk and depending on the cut can be very versatile. You can have it all down or pull your hair up and layering takes care of the split ends.

GOOD LUCK! :)
