How to change my hair to kind of curly hair to wavey hair?

Well i'd like to change my hair to more a wavey style at the moment, it's like flatish on the top, and curly on the sides usually above and below my ears. But i'd like to change it, 'cause it doesn't look long, but it is. (I also got like the fringe thing :p) Any help appreciated. How to change my hair to kind of curly hair to wavey hair?
Use a curly hair product and a scrunching technique when you hair is still wet. Comb out excess moisture. Then put the product on your hands and take an inch section of your hair starting from the bottom, scrunch your hair and work your way up. Hold the bunched hair for 10 seconds tight. Repeat. Use the same technique all around your hair, using a dime-size dollop of solution, larger if you have long hair. Products I like: Aveda- Be Curly Hair solution, Rusk for curly hair. However, you can try to use any curly hair product (mousse, gel, or hair cream) at your local CVS, grocery store, or Target. How to change my hair to kind of curly hair to wavey hair?
Dry your hair upside down and sleep in a loose plait.

Or smooth serum onto the ends and comb through, then leaving ina loose plait.

do a partial french twist and let the ends hang loose while securing the french twist with a jaw clip,How to do a cute up-do for curly hair for an aerobics class?
hey.. its easy!

wet your hair slightly and spray with hair spray or mousse/ then scrunch your hair so it curls and wear it in a low ponytail but brush the top and leave the remaining hair curly!!
Curly hair can be difficult to manage but it looks beautiful when put in an updo.

just follow these steps

# Spray your hair with hairspray. An aerosol is the best choice because it dries faster. Hair with some product in it is much easier to handle and style.

# Gather your hair at the nape of the neck. Hold it in a loose pony tail with one hand.

# Twist it up, bringing the ends toward the top of your head. Attach your hair with a barrette or clip. Arrange your curls on top of your head.

# Another option is to put your curly hair into a ponytail in the middle of your head. Secure it with a hair elastic or coated rubber band.

# Hold the end of the hair. Slowly wrap it around the ponytail into a bun. Use bobby pins to secure it in place. You may decide to leave some of the curls out and pile them on top of your head.

# A third option is to part your hair in the desired place. Create a low ponytail to the side of your neck, leaving the top of your head with some height to it.

# Fasten hair with an elastic or rubber band. Arrange curls by pinning them in various places, to create a ball of curls.

How do you get straight hair into curly hair?

I was born with straight african hair. I want to have curly hair but I want to look natrual. But at the same time my hair is growing so I need it to grow and be health when I got curly hair. It spring so im going for the curly look. Help me.How do you get straight hair into curly hair?
When you get out of the shower put mousse in your hair. Put rollers in your hair at night when it's half wet, half dry. Go over your hair with a blowdryer while the rollers are in. (Use a low heat and/or speed.) Then lightly spray hair spray over your hair. (Hold the bottle not too close to your head, it'll get crunchy.) Leave them in overnight and take them out in the morning and lightly spray with hairspray again. The Caruso Professional Roller Pack works really well, the curls stay in for days. You can buy them at http://www.folica.com/Caruso_Professi_r1 . If the curls don't look as natural as you want them too when you wake up, just gently run your fingers through your hair.

PS: I have naturally straight hair, too. And this really works for me.How do you get straight hair into curly hair?
curl it
You could use a curling iron and curl it by doing it yourself or going to a prof. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy and ugg. If u want to you could get it perm. curly and itll just stay in a while.

good luck,

katie
Hey watz da prob if u hav straight hair no one will tease u.Caz u r a african grl.So wat happens if u hav straight hair.Well it is more cool 2 hav straight hair.
I also have very straight hair. I always got perms. If you use light conditioners, they last until your hair grows out. A lot of people have the mistaken idea that their perm fell out, but that is not the case. A perm chemically alters the hair structure. They can be over contitioned to relax, but they never fall out, they grow out.
conair makes great curling iron, and they aren't very expensive, either. i know that if you dont like doing it yourself, you can go to a special hair kiosk @ a mall or somewhere where they can do it for you

i have natural curly hair too.

what i do sometimes is that i get in the shower and wash my hair and then when you get out dry it off a little and then out a towel on your pillow and then go to bed.

in the morning your hair will be curled but it will look cute. and then add some hair spray so the curls stay the same. or add mouse so the curls stay and look fresh and cute.

good luckk!
Try Fresh curls line by Redken. It has coconut oil and will leave your curls fizz free and healthy. .
Conditioner.... I use alot of Pantene ProV curly products too .. they work really good... also Coconut oil works too. When you have curly hair you have to keep it well moisturized that way it wont frizz up.
What I do is wash and condition my hair (I swear by Chi and Bumble and Bumble products) and use a silk serum in my hair after lightly towel drying. I put a half dollar sized amount into the palm of my hand (you can use less or more depending on how long, thick, and curly your hair is), and gently scrunch it into your hair (you don't want to break the curls). Evenly distribute and blow dry with a diffuser to keep the curls together. Voila! Awesome curls. I also use a defrizzing hairspray sometimes just to tame some flyaways. Hope that helps.

note that the curls are only temporary....How do i go from straight hair to curly artistic looking hair without applying heat or damaging it?
It really depends on what kind of hair you have, and what your looking for...but basically if you have very very straight hair, your only option may be a curling iron/hot curlers. You may be able to experiment with some various creams, gels, spray, serums, etc as well as shampoos and conditioners. I have used Garnier Fructis products with great success, as well as any type of ';sprunching'; spray/gel. It will mostly take a lot of trial and error, because it all depends on what kind of hair you have. Good luck :)

How do I keep the top of my curly hair from going flat?

I have thick, heavy hair that has natural curl to it. When I let it air dry, either with product or without, the top of my head gets weighed down by the weight of the bottom and creates a horrible helmet head curl effect. Are there any products or techniques (without the use of a curling iron) i can try that will keep my whole head of hair curly? How do I keep the top of my curly hair from going flat?
Use a diffuser on the roots till they're mostly dry, use product, and flip your head upside down and use a handtowel to kind of scrunch the hair while you're diffusing. I have the same kind of hair.:)How do I keep the top of my curly hair from going flat?
use some curling product to help stop cause the frizzes . Trust me I have the world curliest hair which is pretty frizzy and I use the products. All different ones work for different people that is why I am not giving you the ones that I use.
Theres a product that CHI makes called helmet head it seems to work really great on me. I think its like 13 dollars for a big bottle of spray. And you can get it at any hair salon that sales CHI products or any beauty store like ULTA
I have pretty curly hair and I usually use mousse in it. Si here is what i would recommend. When you get out of the shower, do not rub your hair with the towel but scrunch it with it. add mousse (or any products you usually use) then you can let your hair air dry until it is a little damp and flip your head upside down and diffuse. I find that flipping your head upside down is a key component to this step. Your hair should have volume and pretty, not flat on the top. btw my names Holly too. haha. Good Luck!

then pull out some bits so i have enough hair to back comb on top, so its scene big but still ponytaild

hope that makes sense, its works for meHow can I do a scene ponytail with curly hair?
a scene ponytail? girl what are you talking about

i guess take your bangs out of the ponytail ?

why don't you just wear it down
Go to a hair salon and look at different hair styles from the book so u can get some ideas.
it's kind of difficult to do when you have layers, but all of the hair that's longer at the bottom, just pull it to the side you want it to be on, tie that up, then poof up your hair on the top!

i suggest if you straightened the top, then left the bottom curly, or it'll look dumb.

    good luck!

How do I naturally change my hair from curly to straight?

When I was born I had straight hair all the way up to 4th grade then It started getting really curly. Is there any way I could get my hair back to what it was like when i was little? How do I naturally change my hair from curly to straight?
no prob not unless you straighten it or blowdry it out while its wet srry but you should be happy you can have curly hair and straighten it.some ppl want to have natural curls and cantHow do I naturally change my hair from curly to straight?
The only way you can do that is to get it chemically straightened at a salon. It's the same concept as a perm except it makes your hair straight. It works but it's not very good for your hair and it will eventually wear off and grow out, like a perm. If you don't want to do this, try using a shampoo that advertises to smooth your hair out.
use a straightener, if that's natural.

How can I make my hair really curly?

I have wavy hair but I want it more curly. What are the tools that I can use to achieve this without spending a lot of money. How can I make my hair really curly?
umm...a curling iron ?How can I make my hair really curly?
    a curling iron???
sometimes my mom uses her straightener to curl her hair.

I works!!! (with the one we got)
wash it with treacle and let it dry off in the hot sun
You could always perm it if you don't color-treat your hair. Today's formulas are not the disastrous perms of the past. And since you have wavy hair growing it out won't be a nightmare. Probably the least fussy as far as styling (who has time to curl their whole head w/ an iron?). Consult your stylist.
Standing in a bath full of water and dropping in an electric fire would probably do the trick, but it would be safer to have a perm, buy some curlers or a set of curling tongs.
Um - eat all your crusts?
    Perm

A perm is a good way to curl your hair without the use of curlers or a hair straighteners. The perm involves chemicals that can weaken your hair so i wouldn't recommend it for people with week, coloured or dyed hair.

    Luckily a Perm isn't Permanent

My Favourite way to curl my hair is to use Hair curlers.

Then Hold the curl with hairspray or (even better) Mouse
curling tongs plenty of hairspray and 1 hour of your time.
wash your hair and then dry it so its just a little damp, then stand up bend over so your hair is pointing towards the floor grab some styling moose and start scrunching you hair. Then flick your head back up and have a look in the mirror. Use as much or as little moose as you need. It looks nice and it shows off the natural waves in the hair.
I know exactly what you need, because my hair is wavy too, and I use Garnier Fructis Style soft curl cream. I rub about a nickel size amout of it in my hands, then I apply it to my hair and comb through-for even distribution. Then, I start scrunching my hair -(using more of the cream if i have to)-and it brings out more curl in my hair and defines my waves. It's awesome too because it helps your hair not to be frizzy also! However, if you want really bouncy curly hair i suggest using hot rollers.
After you wash your hair, put in leave -in- condiontoner, then try some sort of hair curl liquid, or a non-to greasy oil preveralbly sheen or olive oil, use as much or little as you please. comb, not brush you hair with wide tooth comb, shake up your hair, scrunch, then use a difuser. And voila!!
try moose and a defuser on your hair dryer and scrunch it up

How can i make my hair dry curly if i put it up when its wet?

I want it to look like Christina's on Grey's Anatomy, my hair is already curly, but not like hers. And i dont want to blow dry it because no matter what i use it get frizzy. So it needs to air dry. Any suggestions? How can i make my hair dry curly if i put it up when its wet?
uh.. u can put moose in it and then dry it. or you can flip ur head over and dry the top of ur hair with cold air while the bottom with tops. you can try rollers but i dont think it would work saying that u already have curly hair. How can i make my hair dry curly if i put it up when its wet?
my suggestion is to put in the curling mouse stuff you can get it in like herbal esssance and those brands. i get herbal essance and my hair gets so curly!!
rap it up in a loose T-shirt
yes i have curly hair too and i usually put some stuff that i got from the salon i go to that takes down the frizz and i just let it dry down not up.
put moose in your hand and scrunch your hair with it really works good
I have wavy hair and when i blow dry my hair it gets frizzy too so when i dont have time to do my hair in the morning i put some mouse or flexible hold hairspray in my damp hair and twist it into a bun on top of my head until i get to work and take it down and it is full of volume and curly without the frizz.

How do you brush curly hair properly?

I've heard brushing or combing your hair while wet is a big no-no but when you have curly hair and brush it dry it tends to turn into a big frizz ball instead of natural looking ringlets and curls.

The only way I've figured out how to deal with this dilemma is by brushing my hair in the shower while conditioner is it. The comb glides through my hair and when dried naturally I get all curl instead of frizz.

Unfortunately my drain is getting clogged constantly now... Does anyone know of a better way to brush/comb curly hair? How do you brush curly hair properly?
when you hair has the conditioner in it use a wide tooth comb to comb out the tangles and then rinse. When you get out of the shower let your hair air dry for a little bit than finish combing it out with a wide tooth comb.

The best brush for a girl with curly hair is a Denman brush. You can use this in the shower if you really needed too.How do you brush curly hair properly?
You can always try wetting your brush before brushing your hair. Or while your hair is wet; blow dry it while brushing it and it'll give your hair a natural curly wave. It also helps if you buy the right shampoo and conditioner, try a type of shampoo and conditioner that has no perfume in it, that might also help :)%26lt;3
There really is no way to stop the shedding all together, but there is ways to lessen the amount. What I do for my curly hair is brush it in the shower while there is conditioner in it. However instead of using a brush, I usually use my fingers, spreading them wide. This way, my hair is still getting untangled, but I'm keep less hair in my drain. Also with using your fingers, you can be extra gentle. Besides brushing your hair while it's wet is very risky because wet hair is very fragile therefor when you brush it, it snaps easily leading to fizz, etc. You can always use an extremely wide comb, but it's hard to find one wide enough, but if you do, you are good to go. Curly hair is so hard to manage, but when done, it's gorgeous as we know! Good luck!!!
    good luck
Oh no! Don't. It breaks it off. Instead, get a wide toothed COMB and comb through it while wet. Then mosturize a lot.

How can I make my hair wavy/curly with out a curling iron?

I want my hair to be wavy/vurly but i dont wanna use a curling iron. Is there other ways I could make it wavy/curly?How can I make my hair wavy/curly with out a curling iron?
Okay so 1 way to do it is to put in braids at night and in the morning, take them out.make sure to braid as much of the edges you can. After you take out the braids, don't brush it, because it make it it poofy and frizzy so instead put gel and hairspray and scrunch it or just leave it.

    Scrunch it

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdbOQHP9k

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRtwTx_Q5

Also, when you get out of the shower put your hair in a messy bun when it is still wet

Or you can use normal curlers

If you dont want to use a curling iron because it damages your hair, put in heat proctectant spray before curling so that it helps protect you hair from the heat lol. If its because you dont have a curling iron, use a straightener. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGwZYy24AHow can I make my hair wavy/curly with out a curling iron?
sleep with it in a wet bun
Rollers and a blow dryer.... But using a curling iron and rollers is your best bet.
you can take a shower before you go to sleep and then put your hair in a french braid. then sleep with it like that, and right when you wake up in the morning take the braid out and your hair will be perfect waves/curls.
put in small braids before you go to bed, open them up in the morning
with wet hair, you could put it in a messy bun and sleep on it overnight. or you could braid it and it would be wavy
Try setting curlers in your hair and leaving it for the night. When you take them out the next day, use some sort of holding spray or even mouse to hold it together.

I find that when I plait my hair it makes it curlier...however my hair is already wavy, it just makes it curlier...

    good luck
scrunch it to make it wavy,

or curl it with a straightner.

email me if you want to find out how!
Ok this is what i do. I wash my hair so its wet. Then put 4 braids in my hair. Sleep with them. When you wake up wavy hair.
when your hair is wet, but not soaked

spray some curling spray in and scrunch it a lot

i use uptight by bed head
Here is a great way to curl your hair without any heat.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n

Or, you could braid your hair while wet and sleep on it.
either take a shower before you go to bed and put your hair in many tight braids for more curly or... fewer braids for just wavy. Or you could also try sleeping with your wet hair in a messy bun. That is what I do. :)
braid your hair, or put your hair in a messy bun and sleep in it overnight. or put it in many braids or tight curled buns to make it look fancy and all. or get curlers so u won't have to use an iron
    I've done this before :]

All you have to do is roll your hair into tiny little swirly balls all over your head and clip them in with bobby pins and sleep with them on, then the next day take all the pins out and your hair will look like Shirley Temple's. Not kidding.

    Hope I helped :D
When i was young, my mom would put a bunch of little braids in my hair right after I washed it. Once dry it looked like it was crimped.

You can also get some pink-spongy curlers. They are soft and it's not as uncomfortable to sleep in as hard curlers.

You can also make ';rag curls'; Easy and inexpensive. See this blog for excellent directions and pictures

    http://melissagoodsell.typepad.com/day_t
Well, you could either put t up in braids while your hair's still wet and when you get up in the morning, keep them in, and take a flat iron over the still braided hair and then take them out. that'll make it wavy.

to make it curly, you could take a flat iron, put it at the tpo of your head, twist it, and pull it down really fast. and after you've finished your entire head, ';scrunch'; it with some mousse, and spray with a bit of hair spray.
There are a couple of options you can....

    陇 put your hair in curls in paper bags {check youtube}

    陇 use a flat iron to curl it {check youtube}

    陇 put it in a wet bun at night and take it out next day {check youtube}

    陇 wet your hair and put it in a french braid {check youtube}

    陇 or go to a salon {lol}

Hope this was helpful it is all on youtube!!!!

Then In The Morning Take It Out %26amp; Hairspray it again, It Will Be Very Big! =] But Dont Brush It. Or You Could Get Some Volumeizeing Spray For Roots. I Like This one;

So With Wet Hair Spray it into Roots %26amp; Blow Dry Roots. %26amp; It Helps, You could also follow The High PonyTail after using this aswell. Good Luck! How can I get my hair more curly and less flat?
try the sunsilk anti-flat, the results do vary though so make sure to apply the conditioner.
Hairspray , curling finger brush , curling iron , gel , also you should try sunslik anti-flat will all help increase the volume and texture of you hair !!! Good luck !! =D
If your hair is long then it could be due to the length of your hair because it's gravity and it's pulling down therefore making your hair flat even though you have naturally curly hair, my suggestion if you have the long hair is maybe cutting it so it can get the volume back, shorter hair = more volume and bounce than long hair.
When you use conditioner, only apply it to the ends.
Have your hairstylist add layers to it, if its getting long then the weight may be pulling it down. I would also recommend getting a difuser for you blow dryer, they are not that expensive, (maybe 10 - 15 dollars). These work great for giving your hair more curl. There is also alot of products available for enhanced curl. From shampoo's to conditioners to hair products. Hope this helps.

How do you make your hair spiral curly?

My mom has spiral curly hair, really pretty, and looks like a spring; so does my dad. But I have straight hair. I got a perm, 3 actually. But they just make it wavy. Is there any way to make my hair like my moms, permanently? With out moose or curling iron! How do you make your hair spiral curly?
    Amen Alexis!

But if you want curly hair without using an iron or chemicals, try using rags. Rags? Yes, rags. This is a good way to curl your hair without chemicals or heat. It may only last for that special night, but with a few hair clips or pins, it should be impressive.

Cut an old cotton t-shirt into strips about 1.5 inches wide by about 8-10 inches long. Make as many as you need to do your hair. (You will know what I mean later.)

Wash and condition your hair as normal. Towel dry so it is still damp but not wet.

Take one of the rags and just as you would with an iron, take a section of hair at the top of your head and lay the very end ( about 2'; or so) just off center of the rag. Fold the rag the long way onto itself. Begin rolling the rag, like an iron, up to your scalp. Your hair should be wrapped around the middle of the rag. Once at the top tie the rag just like you would a shoelace. Continue with the rest of your hair. Try to remember which way the end of your hair sections are in the rags.

Leave the rags in until your hair is completely dry. You may want to wear a hat if you plan on going outside... lol. Leave in overnight or until your hair is completely dry. This may take quite a while since your hair is wrapped.

Once dry and beginning at the bottom layer, untie the rags and carefully pull the rag in the same direction as the end of your hair section is pointing. Let the hair un-spiral by itself, but don't pull hard. If needed, unwrap the rag from your hair, don't unroll your hair from the rag.

Hopfully if done properly you will have nice curls in your hair. They may not be tight curls, but it should look great. And if you don't like it just wash your hair again. Use hairspray sparingly as this is the chemical-free way. Style your hair to your liking; up-do or leave as is.

Be advised the curls will probably wash out the next time you wash your hair. Hope it works for you!

trust me, you dont want ur hair like that..im stuck with it..its horribly diffucult to style
I found this on youtube - you use paper bags to make curls, no heat or mouse required! Leave it as is, because if you run your fingers through it, you'll get the waves you don't want.

if the perms don't work, i don't think anything will

try using those pinwheel curlers(the really thin ones) and then just spray your hairafter wards with extra hold hairspray

as you get older, your hair will get alot wavier with hormones

I have naturally curly hair but lately its been really flat. Any tips to increase volume. How can I get my hair more curly and less flat?
    Okay, This One is My Fav, Before going to bed Put Your Hair Up In a Very High Pony Tail , Hairspray it %26amp; Sleep With It Like That. Then In The Morning Take It Out %26amp; Hairspray it again, It Will Be Very Big! =] But Dont Brush It. Or You Could Get Some Volumeizeing Spray For Roots. I Like This one;

~JessieHow do you make your hair spiral curly?
trust me, you dont want ur hair like that..im stuck with it..its horribly diffucult to style

How do I apply fake eyelashes like reality stars if I have naturally curly eyelashes?

Like on RCoL?How do I apply fake eyelashes like reality stars if I have naturally curly eyelashes?
The trick is to just cut a little of the ends of the fake eyelashes and put that tiny piece on the ends of your eyelashes. And by end I mean farthest away from your nose. Then apply mascara to the other lashes. That makes them look really nice. How do I apply fake eyelashes like reality stars if I have naturally curly eyelashes?
    dont put them on then
if i were you i wouldn't put them on they are really uncomfortable and annoying to blink. the stars probably have expensive fake eyelashes that professionals put on them that look and feel natural.

go buy some solar curlers that what i haveHow to make my naturally straight hair curly without perm?
You can use either a curling or wave enhancing shampoo or conditioner. I like Herbal Essences. If you get their Tussle me Softly collection, it would definitely help. Then you can put your hair in either regular rolls and sleep in them overnight (ouchh!) or hot rollers. I would use bigger rollers since you want a wavy look, but make sure they differ in size slightly so your curls don't all look the same. After wards, apply hairspray to help it stay. Good luck!

PS- I try to avoid curling my hair on humid days, it makes it fall out faster. ;)
Well, mine is curly, and if you just don't want to get a pem, you should! This is my third, and I'm always satisfied, but otherwise, I use curl shaping gel, but it might only work on people who have a perm, but you can try it:)
Take hair gel type stuff while your hair is still wet and put it all through you hair and ';Scrunch'; it to make it wavy, then dry it without brushing it out, then when you do brush it out after drying, it'll still be wavy.

What is the best way to get curly texture of hair back?

I had very curly hair until I was about 7 years old. When I received my first perm my hair started to changes over the years. Now at 15 my hair is course at the roots and straight at the ends! I would like to have my natural hair back. Will diet change this problem and at about 2 inches how can I tell if my hair will go back to its silky curls. What is the best way to get curly texture of hair back?
Hair slightly beneath the roots is suspected to be affected by the relaxer. You will not know your true texture until your hair grows out some more. Of course your hair is straight at the ends because the chemical changed that part of your hair. What is the best way to get curly texture of hair back?
You should probably stick it in her pooper. I find that helps my hair.

How to get my hair to stay curly after having a baby?

I used to be able to just scrunch my hair after I got out of the shower and my hair would stay curly all day, but after I had my now 16 month old little girl it seems my hair goes flat after only a couple of hours. Can anyone recommend some products that will keep my curls throughout the day? Thanks! How to get my hair to stay curly after having a baby?
I heard somewhere that your hair changes texture about every 7 years, but I think pregnancy can cause that too.

Anyways you'll want to scrunch some sort of curl cream and then a gel in after you shower. You may think gel will make your hair crunchy, but that's only if you use to much or don't use a cream underneath. Gel will be perfect to hold your curls. HI, NOT REALLY SURE WHAT BEACHY WAVES ARE,

IF YOU WANT YR CURLS TO LOOK WAVY WHEN YOU COME OUT THE WATER, EITHER PUT A COUPLE BRAIDS IN IT AND FINGER STYLE WHEN ALMOST DRY.

OR TRY APPLYING GEL AFTER COMING OUT OF THE WATER. COMB IT FLAT WITH WIDE TOOTH COMB AND LET DRY NATURALLY. I WOULD'NT DO THIS AT THE POOL, THE FLOOR MIGHT GET SLIPPERY. I HOPE I HELPED. GOOD LUCK.
You can make beachy waves with your flat iron by twisting the iron as you pull it down.
i have curly hair also, I spray in wax, and air dry hair. when its almost dry but still a little damp, I finger comb my hair, pulling the curls loose to make waves. and vola! beachy waves! Spray a little shine serum on to make shiny.

  • How do you stop curly hair becoming wavy?

Naturally my hair is quite curly, with some loose ringlets. After I wash my hair, I let it dry naturally without brushing it and it becomes curly. But my hair knots really easily so I find I need to brush it twice a day. As soon as I brush it though, I loose all the curls and I am left with wavy hair.

Is there anything I can do to keep my curls and still brush it twice a day, would a different brush help or do you know anything else that might work?

Thanks :)How do you stop curly hair becoming wavy?
while your hair is wet, take a wide toothed comb and brush it,

than you take mousse and run it through your hair while wet

and it should put your curls back intact.

Use a pick rather then a brush. Flip your head over when it's wet and spray you hair lightly and scrunch it
change perming products to something like dark and lovely
    straighten them by ironing

How do I make my naturally wavy/curly hair look good?

My everyday routine is to wash my hair and then put mousse and hairspray in it while it is wet and let it airdry. It is the only way I have found so far to keep from getting frizzy hair. When I blow dry it it always looks really really frizzy but when I let it airdry it always seems too flat. Anyone have any ideas on how to make my curly hair look better???How do I make my naturally wavy/curly hair look good?
instead of shampooing everyday or every other day, just do it once a week, but only use a moisturizing conditioner. use it as a shampoo and let it sit in your hair for about 5 mins. wash it out, towel dry and sparingly apply olive to just the ends of your hair. put in a bun while you go about the rest of your routine, then take your hair out of the bun before you leave your house. you hair will air dry as you go about your day, and the frizzies will be at a minimum, if not entirely gone. repeat weekly. it's ok to wash your hair once a month w/shampoo, just make sure you deep condition just the ends of your hair, not the roots. How do I make my naturally wavy/curly hair look good?
I used to use a difuser on my blow dryer and I also applied some product. I don't wear mine curly anymore. I use a ceramic flat iron to straighten my hair. Try Pureology products for straight or curly hair they are the best. http://behindthechairexchange.com/pureol
use a hair iron but not always because it can damage your hair.
I would use Frizz-Ease hair serum then lightly blow dry until 70% percent dry then use a diffuser to give it some volume. Only se a low-heat mind you to prevent the frizz.
The first and most important is to get a haircut that works with your hair and your face. Find a good hairdresser that works with naturally curly hair. The routine that you are describing is the best-it is keeping a lot of the natural oils in your hair and causing it the least amount of stress. One thing I have found that works great is the Sprunch Spray from Aussie. Hope this is helpful!
what's bad in a curly hair?

God has given you a beautiful curly hair that would suit your face?

Why do you want to change it?

Leave it the way it is. If it is uncomfortable for you, then apply a good conditioner to make it soft.
Well girl my hair is like that but i use tresemme moose and hair spray and it doesnt frizz alot but you can straighten it to! or use frizz control gel!
I also have curly hair and I live in humid Illinois. I have found that a good hair cut is imperative! A shag cut or layers I have found works best. I don't blow dry my hair hardly at all. What I do for volume is use a shine serum cut half with a little water while my hair is wet, work it through and flip my hair upside down and scrunch the holy crap out of it and then flip back up. While my hair dries I arrange curls and scrunch some more with an upward motion.

Finding a beautician can be really hard. If the hairdresser isn't very experienced with curly hair, I have came out with poodle hair more than once.

    Good luck
I have long and curly hair and after suffering years of bushyness. (Mother brushed my hair with...a brush!) I discovered how to have my hair look pretty. If you have thick curly hair..never use a brush! Use a pick. It is flat with 12 teeth or whatever it is..8? Ok this is what I do...after a shower I comb out my hair to get any knots, then I put in FX Curls up gel (the tall skinny bottle, not the wide bottle) with a bit of water each squirt cuz I got a LOT of hair. This gel is not the kind that will leav your hair all hard and sticky. I put this stuff on after letting my hair dry a few minutes. Then I braid my hair and leave it braided for a day. The next day or if I fixed it up in the morning I let it loose in the evening and my hair is soft, curl defined and ooh pretty! I get compliments all the time. And check this...at walmart its less than $4.00 a bottle. You can do this same procedure with a serum. Dont forget the braid. Oh I dont think you should wash your hair every single day. Maybe every other day or something. you need your natural oils. And no more blowdrying! Hope this helps =)

i have naturally super curly spiral curls ive struggled to tame them for years and i finnally figured it out

i use marc anthony curls shampoo and conditioner but i only shampoo it every other day to every three days, while the conditioner is in i brush my hair to get it free of tangles. i brush in my part nd then wash out the conditioner. after i get out of the shower i get the extra water out but i DO NOT brush it or towel dry it. i would do makeup or whatever you need to do and then when your hair is sorta dry put in marc anthony for curls serum. it is pretty much just a oil but it will give your hair moisture and stop the frizziness i use about three or so amounts of the size of a quarter but i have longer hair. just use until you feel you have covered your whole head. dont run your hands through it just pat the serum on. next use a thin cotton towel to scrunch your hair. then wait til it drys hope this helps!!

yeah nothing ever worked for my hair cause i have super straight hair except the infiniti conair curling iron. its only like $25 at drug stores and it works so well!
Its always possible to put curls in straight hair.

Use curling tongs, hot rollers, get a perm, use good quality hair products.
    Curling iron

    They work very good.

Hold the curl for 15-20 seconds, and then pull the iron out,

Dont get your hair wet after this until you want the curls out, make sure your hair is DRY when your doing this.

    1) Scrunch it with culing plates and awesome Aussie hair products for lucious curls

    2) Use a curling shampoo and conditioner (try Garnier or Sunsilk new products)

    3) Curl them with a curling iron

    4) Go to a salon to get a perm! (morst expensive!)

    Good Luck!

    Peace.Love.Roo-Roo.鈾?
    oh come on! Permanent
there are kinds of shampoos that after you wash your hair, it dries curly. there are expensive kinds and then not so expensive like herbal essence. they have shampoo that smells great and does a pretty good job. there is also getting a perm done, but this will cause constant curls, but if that's what you want, go for it :) curling irons with super hold hairspray work really well too. there are a couple different options. when your hair is wet, apply mousse or gel and scrunch in your hand. blow dry and add hairspray after. this makes your hair look pretty nice. good luck chicka :]
I have straight hair too and i know how you can do curls for a whole day ok

First wash your hair with shampoo dont dry ur hair

Then on your hair at nigt do 2 braids

After that go to sleep with the braids on

The next they let them go

If you wash your hair at night : Once you get out of the shower, apply a decent amount of mousse, and put you hair in a messy bun on top of your head. Use a bit of hairspray to keep the curls from getting frizzy.
perm, crimper, curling iron, at least 1 of those should work!
    curling iron , then hairspray

    hair rollers, last longer though.
perms will work the best if you want it long term or rollers work well too.

Wash your hair, separate your wet hair into four sections, then twirl each section and then take the twirled hair to form a bun. Secure it with a non-slip ponytail holder or bobby pins and repeat this process for all four sections. You鈥檒l probably want to stay in when you have your hair like this or do it at night, but either way make sure you leave the buns in overnight or all day.

When you wake up in the morning take the ponytail holders out and run your fingers through your hair gently; you will see that you have curls.

    Spray them with hairspray!
ok so take the piece of hair you want to curl and spray it with a bunch of hairspray and THEN curl it one the hairspray is almost dry. thats what i do sometimes
Freaky. I have the same name [Kendra], same problem.

What I did once is, I put my hair in rollers, then I put holding spray on my hair. I did this overnight and had some pretty curls in the morning :]
get pantene shampooo and conditioner. then make hair just damp. buy sunsilk coverage to protect your hair from damage of the curling iron. flip your hair over comb it through.take only a medium portion of your hair curl it on the curling iron and leave it there for 80 seconds then let down. keep repeating until your done with all your hair. flip your head back straight fix alittle and your done. if that dosent work then you have fine hair. that means nothing can stay in your hair it always slips out for example a clip.

How can you make curly hair permanently wavy?

I have curly hair but I want permanently wavy hair. I don't want to relax my hair, and I already blowdry and then curl my hair with a curling iron but it doesn't help. :( Is there any way to get permanently wavy hair (until it grows out) when you have curly hair?

And, yes, I already know you can't change genetics but I'm talking about products. How can you make curly hair permanently wavy?
    get a body wave perm

even though you already have curly hair they can wrap your hair on the biggest rods/rollers wich will give you a much looser curl/wave and it will be softer and more managable ( =How can you make curly hair permanently wavy?
well the top of my hair is wavy and the bottom is curly so make it match i use anti frizz flat iron (i use the wet 2 straight) until its really frizzy or slightly straight then put the clear protein gel and comb works great and gets hard but comb or bushes out soft
I have natural curly hair and I have two little tips to achieve a softer curl look or big waves.

My first tip is to put a smoothing serum in. I know this sounds weird but this is only to calm down the curl moderately so i would suggest getting a light smoothing serum. ProSilk is a really good professional product but if your looking for something a little easier on the pocket book I have used 'Special Effects' Silk drops....found it at walmart for under $5, the bottle is small but you only need a drop for even long hair.

Smooth this through your towel dried hair avoiding the roots. Take a light sculpting gel; I like Paul Mitchell b/c it is light and will leave your hair feeling soft not crunchy; and smooth this through your hair again only using a small amount.

Next take your hair dryer on a low setting and pull your hair through your fingers starting at roots going down..just think of it as relaxing the curl...

My second tip is something every woman should have under her belt. For big sexy waves through your hair take the hair in 2 in sections and curl away from your face. Make sure to use a strong holding hairspray Aquage is my fave for a great hold. Make the curls big I will even pin up 3 of the curls while i am getting ready. You take the pins out loosen up the curls with your fingers and you have great wave and body.

How do you get your hair really curly?

I have tried curling it and it doesnt work. I want it to look like the curly hair that girl on One Tree Hill has. Does anyone have any tips? How do you get your hair really curly?
Peyton Sawyer on one tree hill. I've tired. dont bother, if you want hair like that, try hot rollers, or curling iron, IM sorry but thats how your suppost to do it. I saw a review on her hiar and how she does it, she said is really hard to keep up and her hair si natrually curly. hope i helpedHow do you get your hair really curly?
Get a perm or put hot curlers in your hair and add curl pumping hair spray.
Yeah peyton.. well id say get a perm.. its like 60$ theres differant types of perms just say you dont want it to be really tight. take a picture of her hair
Buy small rollers and roll your hair all over.
I looked through most of the pictures here and it seems that the best way to get some of these really curly looks is with heat.

    Hot curlers, curling irons...

    Hope this helps!

    http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.glam.
don't. straight hair looks a LOT better. ever tried running your fingers through curly hair? doesn't happen.
a high heat curler with a good hairspray hold the curler in a long time so it really gets hot
Peyton?um well you could try hot rollers.but it wont look as good as hers though.i don think you can do much.

What is the best way to keep curly hair from puffing out?

I have really curly hair and I am sick of it. I can only brush it when its wet. I usually just put it in a ponytail. I like change but I have no idea how else to wear my hair without it getting into a tangled mess and getting it done quicklyWhat is the best way to keep curly hair from puffing out?
I'm right with you on that one(its a hassel). I have curly/frizzy hair and I cut my hair short about a week ago (before it was a lil past my boobs). Now its shoulder length and I'm supeeeer happy with it. Every morning I just leave it natural but put some sunsilk(pink bottle) leave in conditioner. it helps so much! What is the best way to keep curly hair from puffing out?
ok go buy a chi its a really good straightener it like defrizzes hair and straightens it..but its like $100 thats the best i can think of..
I have super curly hair too! It's crazy. Try some curl definer or gel that won't make your hair hard. that's what i use and it generally works. except for those humid days i have to put it up then. oh and i find garnier products work the best on my hair.

also next time you get your hair cut ask them to cut it in a way that it won't poof. or have them thin it. hope it works!

a deep conditioner should help too and you can make your own at home: http://www.pioneerthinking.com/hair.html

(garnier fructis products have a lot of chemicals in them that are bad for your hair and bad for your health :: just because a product makes your hair soft and shiny doesn't mean it's good for your hair!)
I hate to tell you this...unless you want to spend ALOT of time and money...there's not alot to do with super curly hair. It really depends on the amount of curl and the length as to the ease of style...and of course texture does play a part...Sorry not to be of better help...
Ok, I was in the same situation. It sounds like your hair is frizzy, thats why its puffing out. Here are the options:

1.) This is what i do. Take your hair and wet the entire thing. Then, brush it. Add Mousse and comb through with fingers. Then flip hair over and wrap it with a towel or use a hairdryer. Then spray with anti frizz hairspray. This lasts so you dont have to fix it everyday. After a while, you dont even have to put mouse in it.

2.) If you must, you can straighten it. Make sure you DONT buy a straightner that uses steam or straightens your hair when wet. It helps if you buy anti burning cream to put on your hair before you straighten it. Then, put anti frizz spray on it.

3.) Braid it and then spray.

4.) Put it into an 'interesting' ponytail. Take two parts of your hair, put them in ponytails. Then a third of the way down the hair, combine the ponytails into one. Or whatever else, you get the idea.

But in your situation, make sure whatever you do put anti frizz spray in it.

    Hope I helped!

How to change your hair from very curly to permanent straight?

My hair is curly since small so how to do it straight and have a cool hairHow to change your hair from very curly to permanent straight?
Go to a professional and get it relaxed. How to change your hair from very curly to permanent straight?
    Head transplant
    get a perm
Get a really good straightener that can get really hot, like 300 degrees. But that's only temporary. To get it permanent, or for several months, get it permed or relaxed at a hair place.
Get a home permanent kit, follow the direction except instead of rolling your hair just comb it as straight as you can. That's about as permanent as your going to get.
Impossible with your hair. Laser out your hair and transplant new only way. Other wise get it straightened about every month or use curling iron every day or flat iron.
That really depends whether you are black or white on which process would be done. Chemical straighteners can be used but it's not a permanent thing. People with naturally curly/wavy hair is pretty much stuck with it. The women you see on TV that has the board strait hair gets it blow dried with a brush and straitened with a straitening iron. What a process to go through everyday! I say try to like what you have cause it could always be worse :)
Don't use the new ';permanent'; hair straighteners offered at salons for several hundred, they just do not work that great, can actually damage your hair and will grow out. Instead of permanent answer why not buy a good salon offered straightener and use it when you want that straight hair. After all straight hair may be in now but in two months your curls will be back in style.
They can use falt irons and burn your hair straight.

Best to leave it as it is or settle for a temporary fix by using a flat iron .....letting an professional do so.
If you are straightening ethnic hair i recommend a permanent relaxer from Mizani. Its gentle on hair made of natural oils and retouch on the roots is about every 6 weeks. For Caucasian hair you want to try what is called an anti-curl. Rusk makes a really nice one that can be worked through the hair to just tame the frizzies or to work a tight curl into a wave, OR you can keep going until the hair is pin straight. Again the regrowth retouch is about 6 weeks. For a start price you are looking at $60-100 depending on length of your hair and thickness, and your retouch is about $45-55 every 6 weeks. Both are gentle brands and you may color your hair with both products. The old urban legends of your hair falling out are just not true, the professional products used in salons today are low to no ammonia products and completely safe if used properly.
I am part African American, so I have very thick hair, I relax my hair with ';Luster's Pink'; and it makes it more manageable.
Do a reverse perm. You can buy the perms you do at home but instead of curling it you comb it out straight...(im not exactily sure if that is how you do it, my sister did it, you might want to check w/ your hair stylist)
honestly, unless you want it to be silky and shiny, you should get a ';chi'; flat iron...i got one last summer, and instead of it taking 45 min to straighten my hair, it now takes 15 haha
get a perm or hot comb it
theres no permanant solution.the only way is to use a flat iron (specailly for straitining hair)on your hair very often.
u shuld go to a good and branded beauty saloons, they will work the way tht no one even will ever guss that u sometime back was having currly hair. so rather going here and there just go to the beauty saloon, they will cost but not too much at least not more than yur satisfaction
omgsh i know i know my hair is super curly i have natrually curly hair.. well i take a shower and then i put (this may sound gross) but i take alot of Vaseline and put it in my hair and then use the straightener.
Hey try LOLANE HAIR STRAIGHTER ... its a home kit ... and it worked gr8 on my friends' hair .... give it a try ... its not even that expensive .... but u will have to refresh ur hair with a straighter everytime u wish to go out .. to give it a silky straight look!
since you have virgin hair from what it sounds, get a professional relaxer. Have the stylist wrap your hair ( comb your hair toward the grain which means toward your face, sides, and back like cousin IT, then starting from the crown comb it straight but in a circular motion around your head, it'll kind of look like a head band around your head with your own hair, but only in one direction till smoothed out ) with a leave in wrapping lotion, sit under a med heat dryer till dry then comb out. You'll be shocked at how bone straight your hair will turn out. add some hair polish to give a healthy shine, and you'll be on your way to rocker chick hair!

    get this straighter from priceline
    try using a perm

either u do Yoko for very straight

    or Relax for somehow wavy

of course, both are done in salons
do that japanese relaxment, it lasts up to 1 year and your hair will be straight just like japanese hair

you cant.. well yeah you can my bad lol you can go to a professional and get it relaxed and straightend.. but it gunna cost a lotta money

How to not get curly hair after swimming?

Everytime after my hair gets wet, my hair always goes super curly. I hate it. I straighten it everytime i dry my hair. I am going to the beach tomorrow and i cannot bring a straightner. How can i prevent it from going curly? And don't say ';don't swim'; I AM GOING TO GO SWIM!How to not get curly hair after swimming?
Cut it quite short beforehand so it is less noticeable.

http://patternoflife.files.wordpress.comHow to not get curly hair after swimming?
i have no clue im spanish and black my hair does the same thing tri a tight cap
Just ignore the fact its curly, put it in a pony-tail. Thats what i do! And, why cant you just go and blow drie it straight again? Who cares if for a few hours its curly, wow...
Put your hair back in a ponytail when it gets wet maybe?

Im not sure, my hair comes out super straight either way

i dont think theres a way around it

    hmm..
kk well i have the same problem. my ahir even gets curly when it rains and when its humid. so, you can put ur hair up when your swimming but you mite as well get your hair wet who cares.

kk so you can bring a cute headband caus i do that and it looks OK. bring a scrunchie to put in a side braid or messy bun. or, i know it mite sounds weird with ocean water but bring a brush and a little gel and brush it really quick and scrunch it to make cute curls not weird curls.
Check out www.myswimcap.com. They offer a swimming cap that says it keeps your hair dry when swimming. I ordered one. Haven't received it yet. But after searching on the internet, it seems to be the best swimming cap out there.

How do I naturally straighten out curly hair?

For a dude, long curly hair is a joke. Unfortunately, for me, I have the Robert Plant/Weird Al curls. But it only gets like that when I put hair product crap into it. If I only shampoo'd and conditioner'd in the shower without doing anything to it, is it likely to not have tight goofy curls and more wavy? How do I naturally straighten out curly hair?
Have you tried blow-drying it? I think that would make it at least somewhat less curly. My hair is naturally wavy, but when I blow-dry, it comes out straight. My boyfriend has this curly afro type hair (it isn't long, though), and he blow-dried it one time. Although his hair didn't exactly come out wavy, the curls weren't as tight and bouncy, they were much less defined.

You could straighten it, but given that you have long hair and the fact that it's really curly, it will take forever and you'd have to do it as often as you wash your hair. How do I naturally straighten out curly hair?
just straighten it will look hott :]
it would work a little bit , but you should straight with an iron . that works a lot/
Umm... maybe blow-dry it? That might work.

And there are some shampoos that straighten out your hair. Search for Herbal Essense, I know that brand has a hair-straightening shampoo.
Permanently straighten your hair, um....it'll last until your hair starts grown out...then every 4-6 months or what not, your have to get the re-growth done.

They say that your hair changes every seven years...???

I havent seen it yet to believe it. but yeah if you were wanting to go naturally then yeah what everybody else says...blow waving, straighten....

How to make my straight hair curly?

I have super straight hair, and I was wondering how girls get their hair curly. Its not like twisty curls, it's more like a really wavy look. I know these girls have naturally straight hair. I've tried curling irons, scrunching my hair with gel in it, french braiding it, and it never comes out the way i want it to. Tips would be much appreciated! How to make my straight hair curly?
well with me, my hair was like urs. but i got a perm. what helps though, is scrunch ur hair with gel and mousse in it, then use a diffuser to dry it. it works for my super straight har so it might work with uHow to make my straight hair curly?
lol, get one of those shampoos, dunno wut it's called but it works...
use a curling iron or just put t in curlers everynight after a shower that would work
have you ever gotten a perm there are new types of perm rods now that make hair look different from the perms of the past call a few of the newer salons in your area you could also check with supply houses to check if they carry new types of perm rods. Just remember that perms are not permanent they grow out like everything else. A perm will make it easier for your hair to hold curl though.
mousse your hair before bed and put in pin curls and you will have curly hair in the morning
I have super straight hair, too. what i do is if i wanna scrunch it and want it wavy there is a gel called g2b glued its yellow and i think that they have it at walgreens ITS A SORT OF SPIKING GEL OR SOMETHING. what u should do is right when u get out of the shower let your hair dry a little and then put that gel in it, then put a whole lot of hairspray. The trick is to put it up in a sort of bun until its abit dry so that when its mostly dryyou let it down and it will be wavy.

How do i decrease the volume in my Really curly hair?

My hair is extremely curly and i don't know what product to use that would keep the curls in and minimize the volume i get when it drys. I already use hair products that define curls, but maybe i should just switch to something like a relaxer?? Also I'm only 14 so is there any cute hair style i could do with curly hair that you might know about? Thanks a lot!How do i decrease the volume in my Really curly hair?
A good cut is the best way to get the poof under control. If you go to a salon and tell them to take the bulk out of your hair (thin it out), they can usually do so without you having to lose too much of the length. Longer hair is heavier, so it weighs down the curls and decreases volume.

I have the same hair type. I use Queen Helene cholesterol gel on my wet hair, then spray it with hairspray. It feels crunchy, but its not bulky. Use a chemical relaxer as a last resort...its very damaging to hair.

Finally, for styles, curly hair tends to look good as is. However, when the poof is too much for me, I make a deep part of one side, and smooth the hair back into a pony tail at the base of my neck. Brush it so it lies flat on the top of your head. Take the actual ponytail and fluff it up. No gel, just a little hairspray. It looks sleek, but very cute.

Have fun!How do i decrease the volume in my Really curly hair?

Hi. My suggestion to you would be to use any type of strong gel to hold the curls in. Another option would be to use mousse or hairspray. If your hair is really curly, you could use hairspray after you put in gel or mousse.
You could try straightening conditioner. The best choice would probably be straightening it. If it's stright it's cute to just wear it down, in a ponytail, or you could just sometimes wave it. Good luck!!!
prob the best way is to go and talk to your hir dresser, and buy a pair of thinning scissors.

that way you can do it yourself

What can I do to my short curly hair to make it better?

well just try to crunch it up and make it cute and if u have bangs straighten them and just try many looks i know its hard trying to do styles with short short hair but wait until it grows back

hope i helped;0)What can I do to my short curly hair to make it better?
If you want to makeur hair straight:

-Always start from bottom esspecially if you have curly hair!

-Use a conditioner before you do to help make your job easier and make your hair look more healthy

-Apply a leave in conitioner or some type of serum when hair is wet

-Make sure your hair is completely dry

-You might need to straigten some parts more then once

To make it curly using moose:

-Start with damp hair, make sure hairs not to wet or to dry.

-Apply the moose everywhere and start scrunching everywhere.

-After you do that leave it for 5 mins, go back and repeat the same step if you wish for it to be more curly..

-Then apply spray.. If you like your curls hard add more spray if not just add an even amout of spray everywhere not to much

    Hope I helped!!
alright, so i have about the same length hair. maybe a little bit longer.

but when i get out of the shower i brush my hair out, part it where i always do, bend over and scrunch it with moose and then defuse it with the defuser on the hair dryer. and then i use a curling iron about maybe a 1'' or 1 1/2''. and about a 1/2'' one. and curl the parts that arnt as curly as the rest! good luck! :)
well if your hair isn't too thick you should try putting a little moouse in your hands and flipping your towel-dried hair over and scrunchin it. then get some bobby pins and make the little poof in the front like everyone is wearing now a days. :) good luck!
hmm maybe flip it in one direction or something.

with the moose you just kind of have some on your hand spread it out on it the grab your hair from the bottom and squeeze to make it curl.

PLease! How to make my short and curly hair long and health again?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hairHow to make my short and curly hair long and health again?
Drink PLENTY of water everyday - for the health and growth. (People lose focus on that and its most important) Also, use LESS shampoo and more conditioner. Curly hair thirsts for moisture, and unfortunatly, shampoo sucks it out, but conditioner treats it.If towel drying - make sure to use the towel as little as possible, this creates frizz. And, trim your hair at least once every three months - this will also contribute to the growth and health of your hair
first of all, trim your ends to make you hair grow longer. then use a shampoo without any sulphates or use something like Dove hair repair shampoos and conditioners, or use the Garnier Fruitis triple moisture shampoo and conditioners. I also use this leave in conditioner in my hair, which makes my hair feel nice
Well I'm pretty sure the only way to make short hair look long is to actually grow it out haha. So to grow it out take vitamins and drink water like Miranda said. Try to stay away from hair tools that require heat.

^ Try some of those products. You can also switch to a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.
I advice you to use burdock root oil extract mixed with yolk. You should rub it in your hair-roots and keep it for 30-40 minutes, ideally put a plastic package on your head (in order not to soil a towel) and cover it with the towel, so you should keep it in warmth, the effect is better in this way. Repeat this procedure twice a week. Besides, it is better not to colour your hairs and do thermal curling during the cure period. I hope it will help you. Wish you all the best.
Well for one try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the

time and it makes your hair grow faster. I;d say massage it into

your scalp b/c thats going to help the roots if you just put it on

the ends, it not going to do anything to it. You can find it at

walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water

to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should

use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it.

Even hot water hurts your hair.

  • How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?

My hair is really thick and also curly. It takes over an hour to straighten it and I prefer it straight to curly but it just takes up so much of my time. How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?
Here are some steps to straighten hair in a LOT less time:

    1. After you get out of the shower, wring your hair out and towel dry it to get as much excess water out. Comb it (don't brush it, it damages hair) and put in a frizz serum ( I recommend No Frizz brand) and a straightening serum ( I recommend L'oreal professionel brand). The straightening serum works with the heat of the blow dryer to help straighten your hair.

    2. Divide your hair in 3 sections (more like layers) Clip the top 2 up and blow dry the bottom using a paddle brush. To eliminate frizz, use the cool air button and aim the blow dryer down. Do the same thing for the other 2 sections.

    3. Once your hair is completely dry, clip it up in 3 sections again. Starting with the bottom layer, put some heat protector on your hair and flat iron in sections. Repeat with the other 2 sections. How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?
1.Brush out hair before taking a shower. Get all the knots out of that super-thick hair of yours, and don't look in the mirror.

2.Wash your hair with a smaller-than-normal amount of shampoo, maybe a tablespoon, and use it mainly on your scalp to cleanse and get rid of grease/residue. Use a more-than-normal amount of conditioner to hydrate your hair and protect it from heat. Work it through your hair, from the scalp to tips of strands. Rinse it out with cold water. This helps to smooth the follicles. Now get out of the shower before you freeze to death.

3.Gather your hair and gently wring out the excess water over the sink. Comb, never brush, your hair to get tangles out.

4.Take a round brush that has some hold, or grip to it, and start blow drying. Always use the medium (never high) heat setting, but the air flow setting can be turned up to high or whatever you like, if you have those options. Section off your hair (horizontally of course) and begin with the hair at the back of your neck and work up to the crown of your head. Part hair into five sections if it's really thick, although you may only need two sections. start with the hair on the bottom and work to the top, pulling the hair taut with the round brush and following it with the dryer. Do this until your hair is completely dry, or you may totally fry your hair with the flat iron.

5.Turn the heat on your flat-iron up to the second or third highest heat for thick hair, and the lower settings for thinner hair. While waiting for it to heat up, apply a heat protection spray or serum evenly on your hair.

6.Section your hair once again and work up to the crown of your head. Clamp the flat iron on a strand of hair and pull to the ends of hair. Curling the iron slightly inwards at the tips will give your hair a softer edge. You may need to go over a section of hair up to five times, but go slow and it will straighten better. If you have gone over five times and that strand is still curly or wavy, wait and move onto another strand. Give it a chance to cool off and then attempt again. You may want to apply a serum or cream after each section to smooth it down and hydrate it, but don't use too much or your hair will look greasy and weighed down.

7.Enjoy your shiny, straight hair. You may want to have someone help you with the back of your head, or take a mirror and check to see if the back is wavy or curly. After you're satisfied, brush or comb your hair and apply a teeny bit of serum or cream to the top layer, but again don't use too much or your hair will be greasy.
straighten your hair while its wet and then blow it dry. straighten it again. my friend told me this a few days ago.

but you should probably do it in the morning because if you sleep on it......it wont be as straight.
was your hair with shampoo only and spray on some heat protecting spray. the rub it with a towel and brush it out. blow dry it while brushing it as straight as possible. then put on some hair cream (try sunsilk straighten up creme) , but only a dime sized amount. then, using a professional straightener like CHI, solia or sedu, straighten at a temp around 390 F. after that rub some hair serum on and use a tiny tiny bit of hairspray to make it stay then brush it out again
my hair is curly 2 and i get soooo annoied that most people dry and straighten there hair in half an hour! we will never do this but blow drying your hair straight then straighten, smaller sections work best as if one big section goes curly the rest of your hair will change to fit the same shape..use high heat straightners, always keep your parting in the same side as you natural wave goes+never try fringes or side fringes as your natural lick will bounce back.. after you have finally finished it!!! spray a strong hold hairspray on you hands then quickly onto ur hair especially the thinner ends as they will flick...get your hair thinned by the hairdresser as often as you can :)
