How do i get curly hair if i have african-american type hair?

I want my hair curly but i don't want to use a flat iron or curling iron. I also have very thick, short, hair! So if you can help me that would be great!

Thanks! How do i get curly hair if i have african-american type hair?
Try braiding your hair, or get someone else to do it. It doesn't need to be perfect but have the ends all flippy (keep em straight) or it will look odd. Do this while it's wet, and when it's dry you can take it down and have thick curly hair! Also google two-strand twists and do that as well while the hair is wet and when dry, take them out and there's your curly style! Or even do a roller set (not sure how short your hair is!), and go to bed.How do i get curly hair if i have african-american type hair?
