What are good products to straighten curly hair?

I have shoulder length curly blonde hair. I want to get it cut in a sort of layered bob. I want it to be straight or sort of ragged-wavy. What are some good products I could use to keep it straight/wavy. What are the best straighteners to use (I can't really afford GHD's at the moment though)? Please could you add a good picture I could use to show the hair-dresser how I want it cut.What are good products to straighten curly hair?
i don't have curly hair, but i know that the Amika pro styler straightens very well, and you can do waves (the kind you're talking about, i'm guessing =] ), flips, volume and curls on it. it's really easy to use. one of my best friends' has curly hair and we tried to straighten hers and it only takes one time to pull the straightener down and her hair comes out perfectly straight.

.Products are as essential as the straighteners remingtons are quite good and tigi bedhead
the best straightener is a chi

This says smoothing but it works GREAT for straighting hair to. I used 2 have really curly hair and i bought this and it worked hope this helps :)
YOU HAVE TO USE FLATEN IRON AND WASH YOUR HAIR LIKE EVERYDAY SO IT WANT BE CURLY IF YOU DONT WANT IT TO BE CURLY OR IF YOU DONT DO IT THEN YOU WILL BE OUT OF LUCK
