How do you get awesome curly hair that isnt frizzy or crunchy?

my hair is wayyy thick, about shoulder length, frizzy and curly. I do straighten my hair from time to time, but its getting fried!! how can i get cute curly hair that isnt frizzy. Any suggestions of products or homemade remedies would be great! How do you get awesome curly hair that isnt frizzy or crunchy?
For homeade products you could use salt water spray. It creates beachy waves. Mix up a cup of warm water and one table spoon of salt. Make sure the salt dissolves!

For hair products Sunsilk has beachy wave spray it looks like this http://www.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/e0/

If you don't want a spay Sunsilk also have wave gel it's in a blue bottle and looks like this

by Samy products. i sometimes use them after i get out of the shower (when my hair is still wet) i apply some on. it does great curls. http://www.cosmeticsolutions.biz/servlet by the curls shampoo and conditioner along with the styling gel. then you will have beautiful frizz free curls. (they will be soft 2)
Start by using some sort of anti frizz product after washing your hair. Then, try using a diffuser. Start by sectioning off your hair and diffusing each section at a time.

Also, you should talk to a stylist to get a haircut that would actually work with your curls. Good luck..
I'm black and have relaxed hair. But my hair is curly when it's wet. It's frizzy too. I started using Dove Curl Definer Mousse. I didn't think it would work; I though it'd only work for white people hair (not trying to be racist) but it works just fine for me. Gets rid of most frizz.
curl it duh

How can I get loose curly beach waves with my all ready naturally curly waving hair?

I alrealy have naturally curly waving hair but its kind of puffy. How can I get it to look nicer with the beach wave? How can I get loose curly beach waves with my all ready naturally curly waving hair?
I have curly hair too! to get the beachy sort of wave, try this:

after washing your hair, towel dry it until damp. Apply mouse or a little bit of light gel. If you use gel, use it very sparingly as you don't really want a wet look or crispy hair. The amount of product will depend upon how thick your hair is.

Next, braid your hair in 1, 2, 3, or 4 braids. If you have the time, sleep in the braids overnight so that the hair can air dry then take the braids out in the morining and style. If you don't have overnight to wait, blow dry the braids making sure you don't hold the blow dryer too close to the hair (to prevent heat damage). hold the hair dryer at an angle pointing downward into the braid but down toward the end of the hair as to not irritate the hair shaft. blowdrying upward will cause frizz. squeeze and seperate the braid while drying to get most all the hair dry. If you don't do this, the hair on the outside of the braid will dry and the hair that is intertwined into the braid will still be damp. when 95% or more dry, take out the braids and use your fingers to separate the braided hair. If needed, use mouse or a styling cream to keep waves together but piecey and to prevent frizz.

If you are looking for a more natural curl or wave, towel dry your hair after washing and comb through with a wide tooth comb. apply mouse evenly and ';scrunch'; throughout hair to amplify your natural curl or wave. let air dry if possible, or ';scrunch'; while using a blowdryer with a diffuser attachment. The diffuser attachment will prevent frizz.

Good Luck! How can I get loose curly beach waves with my all ready naturally curly waving hair?

How to style my hair curly at home with out using the styler?

My hair is naturally curly but not in a good way ,i can't go out with it,it looks messy, even if i used some conditioner or cream to smooth it.

I don't wanna use the styler either because it will make it even more dry and makes more split ends.

The styling gel makes it so dry too,so anyone knows a way to make my hair looks natural and curly but not messy and dry with out using the above methods? How to style my hair curly at home with out using the styler?
ok, so once you get out of the shower brush your hair through, or comb. part it or do whatever you do, then apply MOUSSE by combing it in through your fingers, or kind of smearing it on and then combing through with your fingers. whatever works. kk then shake your hair out, flip, whatever, and comb it flat with your fingers so it isnt sticking up in random spots. THEN you lean your head to one side and scrunch it. lean your head to each side your scrunching, and then flip it over easily, and scrunch underneath. then flip it back easily and keep scrunching until it start to dry, but you DONT have to scrunch continuouslly, once every minute to 3 is great. once its really drier, you can stop and leave except scrunching every 5 min., and then once it has dried if its frizzy from scrunching while its dry, just spray it with a spray bottle or pat it with watery hands.

thats what i do, and sometimes i rub my towel on my hair b4 the mousse to make it a little drier, it doesnt mattr. but this saved my life, when discovered the wonders of mousse :)How to style my hair curly at home with out using the styler?
There's a great way to style your hair using no tools but your hands and some great creme enhancing gel! Just towel dry your hair when you get out of the shower, then put in the curl enhancing creme(I recommend ';sunsilk captivating creme and gel';), then turn your head upside down and scrunch it up with your hands, then turn your head upright and scrunch the sides. After a few days of doing this, you should start to see your hair holding more curl everyday. This is my favorite way to do my hair when I want it curly. I hope this helps you! :)
Catwalk curl booster! Shampoo, condition, pick, or brush and spray. It doesn't dry it out or weigh it down! look into it. I use it with Matrix Curl life shampoo and conditioner! It's a little pricey but I Love it! Good luck hope this helps!

use curls rock

or lotion while it's really wet

or use less gel and see

How can I make my curly hair look better?

I have curly hair and it is so perfect after I go to the salon so does anyone have any tips on making defined curls and keeping it curly from root to tip instead of getting somewhat straight at the top.How can I make my curly hair look better?
Try AUSSIE SPRUNCH SPRAY. I reccomend this to anyone with curly hair. It's fantastic. How can I make my curly hair look better?
products made for curly hair that curl and shine check in sally's they have everything.
honestly, lots of product...what did your stylist use? Sexy Hair has some really great products for curly hair. I *love* the shine spray...I use it after towel drying my hair, use some really light weight spray gel and let air dry. Then you could use a diffuser on your hair and spray more of the shine spray. Another great line of hair products is Lanza. %26lt; None of these will be @ Sally's though!%26gt;
Bumble and Bumble makes a great curly hair product. It's expensive but definitely worth it. Don't comb your hair when you get out of the shower. Put product in and then run your fingers through. Then scruntch it just a little bit.

Finally, if the top doesn't curl as well then curl it a bit with a curling iron and hairspray it.

How can I make my curly hair look professionally curled?

I have naturally curly hair, but the curls seem to be all over the place and some are large, some small. Is there anything I can do to make the curls seem as if they were done with curlers? I can't actually use curlers on my hair, since I'm trying to grow out some layers and my hair gets frizzy with them.

I read somewhere that if you have curly hair, you shouldn't use shampoo on your hair and should just use conditioner by itself. Is this a good idea? How can I make my curly hair look professionally curled?
Get 'Frizz Ease'. -i think it's John Frieda.

Its SO great, and calms down curls easily, and makes them smooth and shiny.

No WAY, wash your hair about 3-4 times a week.

All the magazines are saying is that dirty (i mean unwashed for 2 days, not for 2 weeks) is easier to manage and style because you dont get as many fly aways.

Also, if you wash your hair, then condition, but DONT rinse it out. Leave it in for about 3 minutes, and THEN rinse. When you have rinsed, put in a TINY amount, like 3 pea sized blobs, and cover all of your hair. Then get out of the bath/shower and proceed as normal =).

This will just make sure your hair is sleek and shiny.

Hope this helps! not sure if it did. :L.

How do I make my hair appear curly without leaving it crunchy?

My hair has always been naturally curly, but a couple months ago I chemically relaxed it. It's growing in now so my roots are lots curlier than the rest of hair. I could just relax it again, but it damages my hair a lot, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips to making my hair appear curly with out leaving it crunchy or hard? How do I make my hair appear curly without leaving it crunchy?
That all depends on your specific hair. Hair products work differently on every type of hair. First, try products that get rid of frizz. They usually make curls defined, but not gross. I've tried to tell my own mother this....if you put too many or too much product in your hair, its going to give it the crunch. Moisturize your hair like there's no tomorrow, as well. Letting it dry by itself and not putting a lot of heat to it will help the frizz and help stop damaging it. Unless you use a diffuser. How do I make my hair appear curly without leaving it crunchy?
braid it when wet and take it out when its dry
Start using products for color and curls. MoroccanOil Intense Curl Cream is one of my favorites and if you don't want to spend a ton, try Curly Sexy Hair and Big Sexy Hair. =0).

How do i Keep my wet hair curly and prevent it from frizzing when it dries?

I am black and i have thick hair. In the winter time i perm my hair because it keeps my hair super straight. In the summer time it is to hot to go to the hairdresser and plus i swim. I like to keep my hair curly when i get out of the shower i add leave in conditioner but it doesn't seem to get my hair curly enough and then when it dries it gets frizzy but a few of the ends are curly. If anyone has any tips for me i would be super grateful! How do i Keep my wet hair curly and prevent it from frizzing when it dries?
i know exactly how you feel,as my hair is quite thick and curly as well. what i recommend is looking at some anti frizz products and try using them. i find that a few help me keep the frizz from becoming a nightmare ha ha. if you can't find a product that works, you could try putting your wet hair into braids before you go to sleep, creating a nice wavy look when you wake up. i know thick, frizzy, curly hair can be a real pain, but just remember...curly hair is hair with personality! yeah! ha ha i hope i helped :-)How do i Keep my wet hair curly and prevent it from frizzing when it dries?
