How can i keep my curly hair down naturally?

Ok, i have long curly hair, and since both of my parents have curly hair, my hair is super curly. I do my best to keep my hair healthy, but everyday, if i dont put this cream/gel thing on my hair, my curls will frizz and will rise, as if it were forming into an afro. Is there anything i can use/buy/put on my hair so i can control it from rising up, and keep it down, and wavy?How can i keep my curly hair down naturally?

i have that same problem and all i have to do is put some lotion in my hair and it works great just don't put in to much
My brother used to have a shower at night time and then wear a hat to bed, so that it didn't turn into an afro. Down side was, he had hat hair for a good few years.

I've had experience of both products and if you have fine hair I'd go for the aveda and if you have thick or coarse hair go for the frizz ease. Heat treating won't stop the frizz!

What is a good straightener for curly wavy hair?

I have curly and wavy hair it is cut in layers and awesome when straight. It is some what thick but I am told my hair type is thin. My curls tend to brush out and leave me with waves. I have the instyler but it curls the ends under or out. It doesn't give me the look I would like. Please help. Is my perfect straightener a chi. Seriously go with a Chi. A great place to get them is at Target. If you buy them online be very careful since people are always trying to sell fakes...



I have very curly have and I've been using my Chi on my hair for over a year now, and it's the best thing I've tried (believe me I've tried a lot of straighteners). It's the best damage wise, it doesn't damage your hair as much as other straighteners. And it takes so much less time with the Chi. I've heard the GHD is wonderful, but also you have to be careful about fake ones on the web.

get the babyliss pro straightener. They are titanium instead of ceramic. They heat up quicker and straighten hair way faster and easier. My mom has an afro and she used this once and fell in love with it. We both had a chi and they are great but this is new and it blows it out of the water. Salon's carry them so maybe they can let you sample it! Highly recommended and about the same price as a chi, but look online they are about 60$ cheaper vs. the salon

i have curly hair and you just got scrunch it a bunch

and hairspray it so you dont get it frizzy or in your case straight
okay u should get

some curl activator

or if u want it curly use flexy rods

1. u wet ur hair

2. put some curl activator on it

3. put flexy rods all over ur hair

4. sit under a dryer until it drys

-that should keep ur hair curly!

Well my roommate has really thick curly hair, and she usually puts mousse in it, and then uses a drier diffuser. It fits on the end of your blow drier. Then you face the drier so it goes up towards your face, not down towards your feet. this will allow your hair to dry, while not making it too frizzy.
